Kazakhstan kicks off election campaign for new single-chamber parliament

ASTANA. July 23 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) — Candidate registration has closed and election campaigning is underway for Kazakhstan's Kurultai, a new single-chamber parliament, that replaces the former bicameral legislature.
